Local Outreach
The second value of YWAM is to make God known, and we do that in several different ways. If you’d like to join in with us in reaching out to York, we would love to have you. Find out more about the ways we are currently reaching out locally below:
Tang Hall
We do various outreach activities in Tang Hall including but not limited to prayer walks, park days, and picnics. If you are interested in joining us and being a part of these activities and events in Tang Hall. Please contact yvonne@ywamyork.org
Weekly Intercession
We are committed to praying for our community, city and nation every Thursday. Sometimes this looks like a prayer walk through the city, praying at a cafe over coffee, or simply praying at the Barnabas Centre. The Corner
The Corner is a youth club that we run in partnership with York Community Church in the Tang Hall area. It runs on Thursday nights from 7 - 8 PM, with special activities during half-term weeks, and is open to Years 6 - 11. The aim of this club is to be more like a family than an activity, so the session involves having a free meal together, and enjoying games and chatting. There is also an option for a small group of youth to come in early to help cook and set up. For more information follow the link to find out more about joining or volunteering.
